Brand Profile
The Dance and Entertainment Training Foundation is a professional dance school for the training of professional dancers. It offers training and a boarding school/residence within the same premises, the prestigious Villa Rosazza. The Foundation's activities range between professional training, the production of shows and the organization of dance events including the International Dance Competition Spoleto, the most important competition in Italy. The Foundation has been collaborating for 3 years with the “Opera Carlo Felice” Theater of Genoa, in the creation of operas and other productions of the Opera House, using its courses and training programs as a basis for discovering new talents to integrate into the ballet for the productions of the theatre. This allows students to come into direct contact with the professional scene, as well as giving them opportunities to perform in a prestigious context. The Foundation participated as a dance troupe in the operas “My First Debussy”, “Die Fledermaus”, “I due Foscari”, “Madame Butterfly” and “Idomeneo”.The relationship between the Fondazione Formazione Danza e Spettacolo and the Teatro Carlo Felice is therefore of a complementary nature, encouraging dialogue between the training of new talents and their integration in a prestigious professional context. The synergy between the two institutions is essential to maintain a high cultural level and to offer students concrete opportunities for professional growth.
The Foundation's school has graduated various dancers including Timofejs Andriashenko (principal dancer Teatro Alla Scala), Federico Tosello (soloist of the company Introdans - Arnhem Netherlands) Gabriele Fornaciari (corps de ballet Teatro alla Scala of Milan) Vincenzo Caruana (Soloist theater Opera of Sofia).
