Danzainfiera is the most extensive Italian exhibition dedicated to the world of dance. It's a special event where you can meet all the industry representatives in one place and at one time.
The Fortezza da Basso, the venue of the event, perfectly embodies the enthusiasm and energy of this event. Located in the heart of Florence, just a stone's throw away from the central station, it is strategically positioned in the center of Italy to welcome travelers from all over the country, who can easily reach Danzainfiera in just a few hours by train.
This Medici fortress has a unique charm and offers versatile spaces within its 18,000 square meters, dedicated to exhibition areas, auditions, and performances.
During the last edition of Danzainfiera, the event occupied the Medici (entrance and registration), Central (ground floor), Cavaniglia, Nazioni, and Ghiaia pavilions, as well as the Sala della Scherma, the Polveriera, the Ronda, and some areas of the Costruzioni Lorenesi.
Specific areas were set up with 8 stages, dance floors and classrooms, hosting a rich program of classes, auditions, castings, masterclasses, workshops, competitions, performances, and more.
Over 200 events took place, attracting a total of 6,000 dancers and over 24,000 visitors.
