The international event dedicated to dance returns
From February 20 to 22, 2026, Florence’s Fortezza da Basso will once again be the stage for the 20th edition of Danzainfiera, the leading international event dedicated to the world of dance, organized by Pitti Immagine. Danzainfiera brings together –in a carefully balanced way – the artistic and cultural, educational, industrial, and commercial dimensions of dance, creating a unique space where they interact with vision and harmony.
This original a formula combines high-level training and live performance in the Academy & Showbiz area – featuring 60 Italian and international academies, organizers of dance events, companies, and sports promotion bodies – with the Brand & Store exhibition and trade area, showcasing 80 brands of apparel, accessories, and equipment, with more than 500 buyers expected from Italy and 50 countries worldwide.

All of this is complemented by an Events Calendar offering: 15,000 studio spots dedicated to lessons, auditions, and masterclasses for dancers; 270 events across classrooms and stages, including public events; 300 schools, academies, and companies; and 1,000 choreographies performed on stage.

Highlights not to be missed include: a deep dive into the Korean pop phenomenon with the special K-CODE events; the new Health & Wellness area; Showbiz talks and new trends from Broadway and London; the choreographic showcases “Dance Parade” and “Junior Parade”; and the most important competitions, including the “Expression International Dance Competition,” the largest international dance competition organized by the International Dance Association (IDA), welcoming over 2,500 dancers.

The presence of major international academies is confirmed: from Teatro alla Scala to prestigious U.S. institutions such as The Ailey School and the Joffrey Ballet School of New York.

And more: professional dancers, students, and stars from the talent shows Amici and Ballando con le Stelle; the premiere of The Sound of Shoes; competitions, and auditions for major musicals.
